This page explains how to delete your account in Traveley, the travel itinerary app published by Avakiam (Google Play package name com.avakiam.traveley). You can delete your account yourself from inside the app, or ask us to do it for you.
Deleting your account from the app
- Open Traveley and make sure you are signed in.
- Open the menu with the button at the top left of the home screen.
- At the bottom of the menu, tap Delete account.
- Confirm when asked. The deletion happens immediately and cannot be undone.
You do not need to contact us, and there is no waiting period. Once it is done you are signed out, and you can carry on using Traveley without an account.
Requesting deletion without the app
If you have already uninstalled Traveley, or cannot sign in, use the contact form on avakiam.com and tell us you want your Traveley account deleted. Write from the email address of the Google account you used to sign in, so we can identify the account without asking you for anything else. We action these requests within 30 days, and normally much sooner.
What is deleted
Deleting your account permanently removes:
- Your account itself, and the ability to sign in with it.
- Your profile details taken from Google: name, email address and profile picture.
- Every itinerary you saved, including its destination, dates and daily plan.
- The copy of those itineraries held on your phone for offline reading.
What is kept, and why
One thing survives the deletion, and we would rather be direct about it than let you find out later.
Traveley's free plan allows a limited number of itineraries per device. To enforce that, we keep a record of each generation, containing an irreversible hash of the device identifier, an irreversible hash of the IP address, a timestamp, and nothing else. There is no trip content and no account details in it.
When your account is deleted, the link between those records and you is severed — the account reference is emptied — but the records themselves remain, attached only to the device. If they were deleted too, deleting an account and signing up again would reset the free allowance, and the limit would mean nothing. We cannot identify you from what remains, and we cannot use it to contact you or to rebuild anything about your trips.
Any itineraries you reported are kept on the same terms: the report stays so we can act on it, but the link to your account is removed, so it is no longer traceable to you. The same applies to the record of booking links you tapped.
Itineraries you bought
Packs of extra itineraries are credited to your account, so deleting the account gives up any of them you had not used. A purchase cannot be moved to a new account afterwards, because what ties it to you is the account it was credited to. If you want to keep them, use them before deleting.
Signing up again
Nothing stops you creating a new account later with the same Google account. It starts empty: your previous itineraries are gone and cannot be recovered. The device's free-generation history, as described above, carries over.
